About me
Christina Riemer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist currently serving as a School-Based Mental Health Therapist with Desert Sands Unified School District. With more than 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families, she brings extensive expertise in trauma-informed and evidence-based practices. Her clinical training includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She is also a UCLA PEERS Certified Provider and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
Christina has a strong background in clinical supervision and specializes in helping youth navigate emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. She is passionate about creating safe and supportive environments where students can build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and move toward healing and growth.
In her current role, Christina supports students at Amistad High School, where she helps lead the campus wellness space known as the Zen Den. She values collaboration and welcomes opportunities to partner with educators, families, and community providers to strengthen systems of support for young people.
Outside of her professional work, Christina enjoys spending time with her family.
